  1. Unless they lower the costs of putting up solar stuff for private homes, it will be very hard to live off the grid. We have a solar battery just for the water heater, but it cost us $6,000 to have it installed.

    1. Agreed, we live in Maine and the only foreseeable option is building from scratch with solar in mind. Converting a traditional home to solar is often cost prohibitive. This couple is building from scratch with solar in mind. Thanks for reading!
